We score six things, and none of them is the welcome bonus
Most review sites in this category rank on bonus size, because bonus size correlates with commission. We do not publish an overall star rating at all, because one number across twelve markets with different licences and payment rails is not information.
The six criteria
- Licence. Which body, which number, and does it check out on the regulator register rather than the operator site.
- Payout speed. Measured against the operator’s own stated window and what players report, not the marketing claim.
- Local payment. Whether the rails people actually use are supported, and what they cost.
- Mobile. Whether it works on a cheap Android over a metered connection, which is how most of this audience plays.
- Responsible gambling tools. Deposit limits, self-exclusion, session reminders, and whether they are reachable in under three taps.
- Support. Language, channel and whether a human answers.
Why no overall rating
An operator can be excellent in Kenya and poor in Ghana, with a different licence, different rails and a different support team. Averaging that into 4.6 stars destroys the only information you needed. We score per market and show the parts.
What gets an operator removed
- Operating without a valid licence in a market where we cover them.
- Withholding verified withdrawals.
- Advertising that claims players can beat the game.
- Marketing aimed at under-18s.
