What it means in practice
- Betika states MAGLA licensing explicitly, which is the level of specificity to expect.
- Because the online process is new, some operators visible in Malawi are licensed elsewhere and reaching in.
- Predictor search demand is unusually high here relative to population, and the results are almost entirely scams.

- Check it against the MAGLA register.
- Where no MAGLA reference exists, treat the operator as unlicensed locally.
What legality does not change
A licence gives you a regulator to complain to and audited game fairness. It does not change the maths. Aviator returns 97% at a licensed operator and 97% at an unlicensed one, so licensing protects you from being cheated beyond the published edge, not from the edge itself.
